week 15 - composition
April 15, 2018
Composition in photography is the basis of everything. The act of composing a photograph is a conscious decision on what story you wish to tell. It's the photographer's voice. We get to choose what we want people to see and how we want them to see it. By simply changing your perspective or shifting your camera to a different focal point or omitting a piece of information with a unique crop, we are controlling the narrative. All successful photographs start with composition. As I was scrolling through the album, I saw so many different stories being told. I can see the purposeful composition in your images. It's obvious that you're conscious of leading lines and framing and perspectives. I am really enjoying the stories you're telling and I am excited to see more.
